Call for Papers

Head of Conference, Organization Committee and Advisory Board kindly invite you to submit interesting papers to the 31 tracks and thus make the WI 2007 a successful conference.

October 4, 2006 Notification of the authors whether their paper has been accepted
October 30, 2006 Deadline for submission of suggestions for tutorials
November 15, 2006 Submissions of papers ready for printing
December 20, 2006 Notification of acceptance of the suggestions for tutorials
February 28, 2007 Begin of the conference

Information on submission

We kindly invite authors from either a theoretical or practical background to submit interesting papers for the tracks mentioned to be held in the conference program. They can be composed in German or in English and must not be longer than 18 pages according to the template: MSWord or PDF (submission format will be only PDF).
Papers will be double blind reviewed. Please remove name, address and so on in the submitted paper. Note that an abstract of 800 characters at most has to be put ahead of the text. Submission can only be effected via this website (see menu --> Registration).

The program committee will examine all papers submitted.

Accepted papers will be published in conference proceedings and in an online system. Publication in the conference proceeding is subject to the fact that at least one author has registered for the conference and has paid the conference fee. All papers accepted will be considered for the "Best Paper Award WI 2007" and, if applicable, for the "Best Young Researcher Award WI 2007". The award will be lent out at the end of conference.

Tutorials

Supplementing the agenda of the conference, tutorials of three hours will take place at the same time as the conference program. Concerning their subjects, they are to cover research areas of Information Systems and can be held by several speakers. Doctoral consortium

For young researchers, the Doctoral consortium offers the possibility to present and discuss the topic of their dissertation and their approaches focusing on the content and their methods. This consortium will take place February 26 and 27 in the run-up to the WI 2007. On the conference website, you can gather updated information and requirements of application.

Enterprise Software Education goes Abroad

In addition to the tracks from the areas Service, Process, and Market Engineering we invite contributions on the topic "Enterprise Software Education goes Abroad". You find detailed information (in German) in the following PDF document. The review process for these contributions is separated from the conference's regular review process. Accepted papers will be published in separate conference proceedings.

Social program

Besides the conference program, we also organize a social program. Thanks to its location near to the Black Forest, Palatinate and Alsace , Karlsruhe offers appealing surroundings for a conference. Come and experience the town situated at the river Rhine . There are interesting artistic and cultural events to join, beautiful landscape to see and you will furthermore be surprised by the culinary delicacies the Baden cuisine offers.
